AIRSOFT EVENT IN AID OF HELP FOR HEROES AND AFGHAN HEROES!
PROJECT DARK STAR
Saturday 25th to 26th September 2010
PROJECT DARK STAR will be run at Assault Troop.
We will be dedicating this Day to Help for Heroes and Afghan Heores fund
and attempting to raise as much as we can for their charity's.

Our Mission
In the first phase of our mission we seek to deliver:
Front Line Support:
To support all our service personnel operating in theatre in Afghanistan.
• To provide the much needed “home comfort“ supplies and gifts to those service personnel.
• To promote and embrace a new initiative “Thank The Troops” to ensure our soldiers know they are not alone.
On the home-front:
Support groups for the families of the fallen.
• Regional network groups.
• Charity events so they can come together.
In each of all of these tasks, we aim to work with the military authorities to ensure the right support reaches the right people at the right time.
The second phase of our mission is to help those who have returned from Afghanistan to overcome difficulties by:
Support for the Returning Troops:
• With the intention of providing emotional, psychological help through support groups for all returning soldiers and families of the fallen.
• Help with vocational training, including: IT equipment, computers and printers.
• Assisting other minor charities in their work.
• Creating a lasting legacy in support of our operations in Afghanistan.
Help for Heroes
This registered charity (Help For Heroes) was the idea of Appeal Chairman Bryn Parry
and a group of friends and relations, many of who have connections with serving servicemen and women.
Bryn and his wife Emma wanted to do something to help the wounded
and came up with the idea of a sponsored bike ride.
They mentioned it to some friends who mentioned it to some more friends
and suddenly Help For Heroes was born and growing fast.
A flurry of visits to various offices led to the campaign being blessed by the head of the army,
Chief of the General Staff, General Sir Richard Dannatt.

Help For Heroes is backed by the Army Benevolent Fund, the Army’s own charity that does wonderful work for soldiers
and other servicemen and women both directly and through its support of other service charities.
Hopefully we will make this event an annual event and raise as much money as we can for various charities.

This will be the first of hopefully many fundraisers - the second is already in the making and looks like a full national event over 24hrs so watch out for it in AI.

The event is being held in the forests of North Wales near the town of Denbigh.
The site covers three square miles of mainly pine forest, quite dense in parts.
It has a main track running through it with smaller access roads that encompass the site.
If any of you remember Town Assault 4 (The Hornets Nest)
this is the same site at which we are holding the event.
If you wish to use a vehicle on site then please let us know.
If you need a B&B or place to camp please let us know and we will help find it for you.

BACKGROUND
BWD Industries have developed a revolutionary new battle rifle called DarkStar.
This new weapon system utilises electronic propulsion system eliminating the need for a ballistic round.
The main advantages of this weapon are:- a significant increase in magazine capacity enabling the soldier in the field to carry 3 or 4 times the amount of ammunition, lighter ammunition and reduced maintenance and upkeep.
A platoon of soldiers carrying this weapon would have the fire power and ammunition of a force two to three times larger. Several prototypes of this weapon are being transferred from London Stanstead Airport to a small private testing facility in the heart of North Wales. The prototypes will be traveling in a DC13 aircraft in an effort to keep the transport as low key as possible.
Intelligence leads us to believe that the plane was forced to make an emergency landing and it looks like this hijack may well have gone horribly wrong and the plane and weapons end up in the middle of the forest in North Wales.
A detachment of British soldiers along with search and rescue from RAF Valley on Anglesey have been deployed to recover any survivors but more importantly, to recover the weapons.
But never did they expect to find what they came across.

Four very different sides interlocked in 24 hours of one of the most exhilarating and sensational action packed events this year.
This event will be full of missions and sub missions which depend on how the event is actually played involving real characters to keep it as real as possible.

Project Dark Star… we want to make this one of the largest Airsoft 24hr Heroes charity event this year and only with your help can we hope to achieve this.
The main game will run from 10:30 on the Saturday till noon Sunday. Being a Milsim style event you will be
expected to be on your guard for the whole time unless you are defended by your team mates while you sleep.
That's if you think it safe to sleep!
Story Line

Hiding out in the forest was a terrorist cell whose aim was to down the aircraft and recover the weapons.
Working from within the company of BWDI they had hatched a plan to take the plane down in an emergency landing, take the weapons, and kill all the remaining survivors.
Something goes wrong with their plan and the plane goes down miles from where it was supposed to land.
Crashing through the top of what seem to be a large building the survivors from the wrecked aircraft discover the secret cargo and start to put two and two together.
Unknown to them the aircraft took the whole roof and an outside wall of the local top security prison, and now there are maximum security prisoners everywhere all trying to escape into the forest.
Just who will get to the weapons and survivors first, and who will survive.

Your primary mission is to recover the missing weapons and help and assist any surviving passengers.

You have just successfully downed the DC13 you were trying to force into a emergency landing but nobody is perfect!
Your mission now is to recover the weapons and your men from the plane.

You were happily sitting in your bunk when your whole world opened up in a flash of light, I am I dead you think to your self.
Then you feel the rain on your face, "No I am lying in a field, I am FREE!" Looks like world war three just started. Now you need a weapon.
The Crash Servivors
PLANE CRASH BOOKINGS
Ok so you’ve survived the crash and now it has all become clear after finding the weapons amongst the wreckage.
Figure out how they operate and use them to stay alive until help arrives.
You are lost injured and in a great amount of danger from whoever it is that desperately wants these weapons, they will kill you if they think you’re alive.
Sorry but it’s Kill or be killed.
But use what you have to hand to survive!
All you have to do now is to stay alive.

The site is in Three square miles of forest we have no shelter no electricity.
You will need to carry every thing you need for the day with you!
Map, Compass, waterproofs, Water, Whistle, some food, a drink, and a good pair of boots,
spare change of clothes that you can keep in the car. And don’t forget your RIF.
