Hi All

Well Picked up my New RIF yesterday :D So Far I have had a Little test Firing at Work and at Home ;)

I bought mine from Mike at Elite for £199.00, I had Mike fit a Metal Sling Ring to it for me, while I was picking it up.

Things I noticed when Collecting my RIF, the Steel Pipe Ring was a Bit lose, But as Mike was working in that Area while fitting the Sling Ring, it was Tighened up ok. Next was the Delta Ring on the Front was Lose, Tightend that Up at Work as I did not notic it until I had got back to work.

The Hand Guard and Stock are the Same as all Clones, a Little Bit Cheap Feeling, But work Fine ;) The Full Metal Body is Clean and Very Solid, I will get back to the Supplied Gas Mag Later. The Recoil when Firing Feels Very Very Nice ;)

Mike also worked on the Bolt Stop Spring before I arrived so that it works with None Supplied Gas Mags as you need to Strip the Supplyed Gas Mag and shave a Bit of Plastic to make the Bolt Stop work 100% of the Time.

As with All Clones you get a Tight Bore Barrel Fitted as Standered :( and the Hop Up seems to work ok (I Will be Upgrading to a RA Tech Metal Hop Unit and Hop Rubber Soon).

I also Bought 1 GHK Gas Mag £39.00 (2More Ordered today).

The Stock Bolt and Piston work Well when Cocking and Firing (I Will be Upgrading to a RA Tech Steel Bolt and a RA Tech Alloy Bolt with NPAS).

The RIF came very well boxed with the Normal extras, 1x Small Bag BBs (Put in Bin), 1x Sling (Put in Bin), 1x Cleaning Rod and 1x 50rd Gas Mag.

The Only Problem I have had with my AGM M4A1 GBB is with the Supplied Gas Mag which decided to Blow its seals while sitting on my Kitchen side and Scare the Crap out of me as it vented all its gas, But Mike has said he will replace the Mag :D

I will Ask Mellotron to take some Picks and add some Feed back when he comes around tonight and tests it :)

I too got my AGM M4a1 GBB from Mike, last week.

Comparing it to the WE M4a1 (3 shades of grey) it is 3 times better, it is all black, nice to handle and lighter and a £100 cheaper (more mags?).

Mike swapped out the original mag for the GHK as it works better, took a little time to get used to cocking before putting the mag in, but the sweet feel of the recoil is wonderful, also haveing only 42 rounds make it perfect for milsim.

Not intending to use for my main RIF, but it will be fun to have for milsim some of the time.

Only down point, the barrel locking ring was loose when supplied, and everytime i put into the foam insert it loosened off again, simple tightening and problem solved.

value 10/10
Appearance 9/10
performance 8/10 (no upgrade)

Update on the GHK Gas Mags £39

I found mine was a Bit Hard to Insert fully into the Magwell, After looking at the Supplyed Gas Mag and the GHK Gas Mag, I noticed that the Supplyed Mag had much more Rounded Lip at the top of the Mag, which helped it to push the Mag Release Catch out when Inserting the Mag into the M4A1. A few carefull bends with my Pliers on the top lip of the GHK Gas Mag to round off the Lip at the top of the Gas Mag and now it Slips in Nicely without having to push the Mag Release Button In :) No Mag Wobble at all :)

Mellotron will be posting some Photos tommorow ;)

Appearance 9/10
Performance (Need to Test more)
Fun Factor 10/10

Jebus,

Merlin got me very interested in these on the way to PR4, with his talk of his new toy.

I've had a look about and everything seems thumbs up with regards to this RIF. The price is outstanding, especially when compared to how much the WA ones are, and then you have to factor in the metal bodies.
You are paying chinasoft prices for a full metal bodies M4 GBB, christ, i'm impressed.

The mags seem to be the main issue that anybody has with these, but there are lots of companies that are making accessories and bits for them, so I think that you would be able to get the mags running no probs.

I know that G&P have released a whole slew of bits for the WA version and I believe that most of these will be compatible.

Now I've just promised my girlfriend that we will go on holiday next month, how do I talk her out of this, make a purchase of a nice shiny new GBB M4 and not end up single.

Because YOUR worth it, well that would be her excuse, told you on the way down to PR4, I spend a ton on airsoft and Mrs Merlin spends 300 on cloth's.

Always consider where your gonna sleep though.

I'm looking at going to CQB next Wednesday, if your around pop over, I'll be taking my GBB with me for a big of fun.

Hi All

Well I managed to get 2 Games today with my AGM M4A1 GBB, I fitted RA Tech NPAS System on Friday Night, It took a little while to fit as the Vid showing how to fit it had missed one Part of the Fitting Process, But I worked it out in the end LOL. First Crono with the NPAS it was 195 FPS, first Adjustment 500 FPS, after a Few Adjustments I had it running at 350 FPS

The GHK Mags Run well in Both Games, Yet again the AGM Mag started Venting after just a few Shoots  will have to chat to Mike about this.

Thanks!

I took mine to Liverpool CQB and had it chrono'd at 440 fps

Looking to get that reduced however it's not main RIF so will be something for after the uprising.

But that was 440 FPS of pure unadulterated enjoyment.

On Semi, clack, clack, clack, the nice feel of recoil and a great sound,
switch to full auto and the feel of the recoil knocking into your shoulder and having to adjust your aim to compensate.
Now that was f ing sweet.

I AM getting one, its decided.
